Braved the Cold
Yesterday I went out on a trail ride with a group from the barn. It was cold, icy and windy, but we did it anyways. All I can say is layers are your friend up here in the cold, harsh North.
Of course all the horses were full of piss and vinegar and we didn't think we'd get out very far due to the unknown depth of ice layering the snow.
We got out and found that the ice was fairly thin and broke easily underfoot and no horse slipped the entire way. It did start to blizzard so we decided instead of going another loop around to just head back in, we were out for some time by this point.
