Some Sort of Introduction...I Guess
So I guess I should first explain, but the growing up with Azula blog is retired and if anyone knew about my World of Warcraft blog...yeah I'm going to delete that as soon as I post this.
A lot has happened since the last time you've all heard from me and I deeply apologize for the very long pause. With starting a new job and actually working an entire year without monthly lay offs I've found it very difficult to do anything else. So I guess I should fill in why I've started a new blog and it's purpose.
First I'll say that it may not be very scheduled and quite sporadic with posts, but I've decided to actually use my twitter account and will advertise whenever I decide to post something.
So let's start off with what this blog will be about. In past blogs I've started it been about World of Warcraft and my adventures in that MMO, and then I turned to blogging about my training experiences with my first filly, Azula. At that time I had a paint gelding named Apollo and a quarter horse mare named Rosie. Recently I've added two more bodies to my family and said goodbye to one. So let's start to introduce the stars of the blog, my four horses.
Rosie Pocos Gold "Rosie"
9 years old Quarter Horse
This is my oldest horse and my true heart horse. Rosie wasn't the horse I thought I'd see myself with a year later, but she ended up being the perfect match for me. She's taught me to be assertive and the 'lead mare' and I've gained her respect over time. It's like I gained a friend in what I thought would be an enemy. I love this mare to death and nothing could make me sell her to anyone.
DF Genuine Silk "Chloe"
2 years old Quarter Horse

DF Genuine Silk "Chloe"
2 years old Quarter Horse
This is one of the newer horses to my herd, Chloe (or Chlo-Bug as she's fondly called at the barn). She was considered the barn mascot and I always wanted to buy her from the first moment I saw her. Well I got the chance a few months ago and I jumped on it. I probably won't start to ride her til her fourth year as she's so tiny, but she'll be worth the wait.
Tuxedos Azula Moon "Azula"
1 year old Paint Horse
This is Apollo's little half sister and the star of my last blog. She's a very sweet tempered mare and is always at the gate waiting for some attention. Her and Chloe are attached and I often see them both standing by the gate when I take Rosie out for a ride. I jokingly will call out to them, "Not this year girls, you're not big enough!"
Impa
6 month old Grade (1/2 Quarter Horse, 1/4 Percheron and 1/4 French Canadian)
Here's the last of the introductions. At first I named her Zelda, for my love of the game Legend of Zelda, but soon I realized she wasn't really Zelda material (That and everyone at the barn was having troubled remembering the name lol) so I went with Impa, one of the sages. Anyways, I will honestly say this is the smartest horse I've ever met. She catches on very quickly to new situations and desensitizes so quickly. You can even see the gears turning in her brain as she thinks through the situation.
So that's all of them, by this point you may have noticed that Apollo is missing from the group. Well that's because Apollo is the one I said goodbye to. People that had seen us when we first started out would honestly question why I would be willing to part with him so soon, but after a few major falls from him I started to have anxiety attacks whenever I got back up on him. He was so in tuned with me that whenever I had anxiety he would react to it. It was a real mess honestly. So I said goodbye to what would have been probably the best horse for me. We read each other way too well.
And that's all for tonight, I'll try to post with something new soon. Wait for my twitter updates!
